Our Team

At GEMC, we understand the importance of having a team that is dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing exceptional service to our residents. Our team is comprised of experienced professionals who are committed to delivering outstanding results. Meet our team members:

• Brooke Thacker, Property Manager, has been with GEMC since 2013 and has risen through the ranks to become the Property Manager for all Charlottesville properties.
• Elizabeth Conover, Leasing Consultant, graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication, and has a passion for painting, writing, and spoiling her dog.
• Danielle Pendergrass, Leasing Consultant, came from Raleigh, NC, and has been working in property management since 2021. She enjoys hiking with her dog, teaching group fitness classes, and traveling.
• Nina Jabar, Leasing Consultant and Marketing Coordinator, is a student at Northern Virginia Community College, studying Marketing and Business Administration. She loves traveling, working out, and health and wellness.
• Ruth Alvarado, Leasing Consultant, has been with GEMC since 2001 and works full-time at CFA Institute in the Credentialing Department. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
• Ron San Miguel, Maintenance Supervisor, has over 20 years of experience in property management and is passionate about keeping cars in shape, collecting watches, and watching movies.
• Nathan 'Mo' Simmons, Maintenance Technician, started his career with GEMC in 1995 and has been working in the maintenance field for over 25 years.
