Our story began in the early 1980s when Vicky and Mike Oltersdorf, the founders of the company, fell in love with Leelanau County while visiting friends in Traverse City. They made the bold decision to relocate their family to Suttons Bay without any job security, drawn by the area's natural beauty and the promise of a better quality of life.

This leap of faith led Vicky to pursue a career in real estate, and over the years, she gained extensive experience working for various national real estate brokerages in Ann Arbor, Traverse City, and Suttons Bay. In 2006, Vicky established Oltersdorf Realty, and her son, Jonathan, joined the company full-time in 2007, making it a true family business. Vicky's daughter, Cayman, who is also a Michigan State University graduate, joined the company in 2016 as a licensed vacation rental manager.

Today, our team boasts over 63+ years of combined real estate experience, and we have closed more than 1,000+ transactions since 2006.
