Accountability and Service Issues
Most reviewers have had negative experiences with Asset Living, complaining about maintenance issues, lack of response from management, and poor service. Logan Dumond, Joseph Mosebar, and Allyson Dumond all mentioned that they had to deal with neglected maintenance requests, including a power outage that lasted for over two weeks. Additionally, Logan Dumond and Joseph Mosebar reported difficulty getting in touch with anyone at the company, while Allyson Dumond's experience was that they lied to her about processing her security deposit.
Carpet Cleaning Controversy
Y. Martinez, a resident of Stonegrove Fall Creek in Houston, had a positive experience with the staff but suffered from unfair carpet cleaning charges after moving out. Despite leaving the carpets in good condition, according to the contract, the company deducted a significant portion of her deposit for carpet cleaning and odorizing, which she believes is a double charge. Her repeated attempts to discuss the issue with the company have been met with ignored emails and phone calls.
Fraud and Theft
Lance Fontenot's experience was decidedly the worst. As an employee, he was involved in an accident and couldn't work for a while, only to be told he would be fired if he didn't work 40 hours. The manager, John Remington, stole over $4,000 worth of tools from him and was also allegedly embezzling company funds. When Lance Fontenot informed corporate, they took no action. He was forced to quit and move out of state due to financial difficulties.
