Poor Management and Unresponsive Staff
Reviewers have expressed widespread dissatisfaction with the property management companies they have dealt with. The companies, including Cougar Crest apartments and Crossroads apartment, have been accused of being unresponsive, incompetent, and even dishonest. The staff, including managers and leasing agents, have been criticized for their poor communication skills, lack of accountability, and failure to address concerns in a professional manner.
Incompetent Staff and False Accusations
Several reviewers have complained about incompetent staff members who make false accusations against residents. In one case, a leasing agent at Crossroads apartment allegedly completed an incident report based on false claims made by an ex-boyfriend of a resident. The report was used as a pretext to attempt to evict the resident, despite the fact that there was no evidence to support the allegations.
Budget Mismanagement and False Administration
Reviewers have also accused property management companies of mismanaging budgets and making false claims about financial procedures. In one case, an HOA management company was accused of misusing funds, ignoring structural problems, and failing to fix decks that had been damaged. The company was also accused of spending money on unnecessary reports and services, such as snow removal, without providing any tangible results.
Unresponsive Management and Failure to Address Concerns
Reviewers have expressed frustration with management's lack of responsiveness to their concerns. One reviewer reported a slip and fall injury and was refused an incident report by the property management company. Another reviewer was ignored by the office staff when they reported harassment and was subsequently threatened with eviction.
