Ironwood Real Estate is a commercial real estate investment firm based in Austin, Texas, with a focus on the acquisition and development of properties throughout the state. Our strategy is centered on identifying investment opportunities that provide stable cash flow and build long-term value. Through our affiliates, Ironwood Commercial Brokerage and Ironwood Real Estate Management, we offer full-service solutions for our properties, investors, and third-party clients. In total, we manage over 2 million square feet of commercial properties in Texas.

Meet the Team

Our team is led by founding principals Matthew W. Hooks and Scot W. Krieger. Matthew Hooks, a native Austinite, brings over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry to the table. He provides strategic leadership for Ironwood's development and investment plans, leveraging his extensive knowledge to build a portfolio of assets that deliver returns that exceed expectations. Additionally, he manages syndication and investor relations. Matthew is also involved in various professional and civic organizations in Austin, including the Downtown Austin Alliance, the Real Estate Council of Austin, and the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Scot W. Krieger, on the other hand, oversees Ironwood's development, design, construction, financing, and accounting processes. With almost 40 years of experience in real estate and finance, he is an integral part of the team. Scot is a member of the Real Estate Council of Austin and has served on the board of several local organizations, including the Austin Commercial Real Estate Society.
