Our Story

The name "Schafer" has been synonymous with the word "Sold" in Noble County for over 50 years. Here at Ben Schafer Realty, we take pride in our heritage, and we continue to be the leaders in the real estate and auction business in Noble and surrounding counties. Our story began in 1964, when Ben's grandfather, Vincent Schafer, started attending auto auctions and discovered a passion that still lives on today.

Our Heritage

Vincent Schafer was a true entrepreneur, and his passion for auctions and real estate led him to become an auctioneer. Over the years, he conducted thousands of auctions and real estate transactions, while also instilling in his eldest grandson, Ben, the passion and love for the real estate and auction business. Unfortunately, Vincent passed away suddenly in 1994, but his legacy lived on through his family.

Our Team

After Vincent's passing, his youngest son, Ed Schafer (Ben's father), became a licensed auctioneer and continued to carry the torch. In 1996, Ben became a licensed real estate agent and apprentice auctioneer. He served his auctioneering apprenticeship under his father, Ed, and soon after, Ed and Ben Schafer, Auctioneers was born.

Oil and Gas Services

With the boom of the oil and gas industry in South Eastern Ohio, we developed a specialized team to work with landowners and oil and gas companies. We help landowners secure fair market prices for their mineral rights and negotiate lease agreements that benefit both parties.
