Our History

Horrell Company has a rich history that dates back to 1943. Our company was founded by Thomas Henry Horrell, who initially started a refrigeration business in Nashville. Over the years, the company expanded and evolved, eventually becoming a leading commercial real estate firm in the region.

In 1955, Henry purchased property in the Sidco Industrial Park, marking the beginning of real estate development, brokerage, and management in the area. In 1972, Henry, along with his sons Fred and Steve, sold the refrigeration business to devote full-time to real estate development, brokerage services, and property management.

In 2005, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary as a commercial real estate firm. Today, Horrell Company is led by President and CEO Elliott Smith, who has significant business and legal expertise.
