Unified for a Stronger Real Estate Industry

Founded in 1907, Savannah Area REALTORS (SAR) is the trade association for real estate licensees in Chatham, Bryan and Effingham counties. Representing approximately 2,400 members, SAR is dedicated to uniting REALTOR and Affiliate members for the purpose of providing a collective influence upon matters affecting real estate, private property rights, and homeownership. Our organization aims to elevate the standards of the real estate profession and the professional conduct of persons engaged therein throughout our jurisdiction.

Our Services

SAR offers a wide range of services to our members, including:

1. MLS (Multiple Listing Service): Savannah Multi-list Corporation (SMLC) is the Real Estate Professional's source for property information in the Coastal Empire. SMLC provides a platform where cooperation between authorized participants is enhanced, and information is accumulated and disseminated to those participants for the preparation of appraisals, analyses, and other valuations of real property for bona fide clients and customers.

2. Education & Professional Development: SAR provides various educational opportunities for our members to enhance their professional skills and knowledge. We offer a variety of courses, workshops, and seminars designed to help our members stay current with industry trends and best practices.

3. Government Affairs: SAR actively monitors and advocates on issues that affect the real estate industry, private property rights, and homeownership. We work closely with local, state, and federal government officials to ensure the interests of our members and the real estate industry are protected.

4. Professional Standards: SAR is committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in the real estate industry. We provide resources and support to our members to help them maintain the professionalism and integrity of the industry.

5. Communications: SAR uses email and text messaging to keep our members informed. This service allows us to interact in more ways with our members, sending reminders for educational classes, events, safety alerts, call-to-action, and more.

6. Affiliate Committee: The Affiliate Committee works to help affiliate members get the most for their membership and sponsorship/Corporate Ally dollars while providing valuable benefits to the REALTOR members.
