Our History
Our journey began in the 1950s when Ted Lerner started his real estate career as a broker selling homes. With a natural instinct for sales and a creativity that led to innovative concepts such as model homes and centralized sales offices, he built a highly successful business. In 1952, Ted established T.N. Lerner and Co. with a $250 loan from his wife Annette. The company went on to develop Wheaton Plaza in 1958 and Tysons Corner Center in 1968, which revolutionized the retail landscape in the Washington area. Today, our portfolio includes a wide range of market-defining projects in various stages of development.
